Perhaps its only some of the Springfield models that have that hex screw on the 2-piece guide rod (I'm not sure); other than that, it's takes down like any other 1911.

AHHHH... one of those yea to be honest I have never had one of those guide rods in a 1911. I'm not convinced of the benefit...

Mine has the two piece guide rod you have to capture. It's not like most other 1911s I've seen.. Both glocks and all 4 sigs are much quicker to tear apart clean and reassemble.
